How To Set Up A Paid Blogging Account

Previously I discussed the concept of paid blogging networks. Let’s now take you through the registration process to set up a blog account with the Internet’s leading paid blogging network, Payperpost.com.

Payperpost.com’s homepage is nicely designed and very easy on the eye, with a large friendly font and  signup options, one inviting you to “Sign up as a blogger” and the other inviting you to “Sign up as an advertiser”. To sign up as a blogger, enter your e-mail address and password, verify that you are over the age of eighteen and click the “signup” button. This will take you to an “Add Blog” form with four main fields for you to fill in, your blog URL, a description, your chosen price per post, and price per word.

The first step is to fill-in your blog URL and click the green “suggest my price” button beside the URL field. When that has processed, you will see your suggested price per post and price per word, as estimated by the system. The average blog will probably attract a suggested price per post of one dollar, and price per word of 0.005 cents (or one dollar for a 200 word post). If you don’t like the suggested rates you can raise it as high as you wish, but of course the higher you go the fewer opportunities you will have to earn cash, so be realistic in the beginning. You will be able to raise the rate later as you complete more jobs and attract more traffic to your blog.

Once you have completed this part of the form. There are some drop-down option boxes and checkbox to consider. They are as follows:

1. Minimum advertiser rating. This is a score that is allocated to each advertiser in the system. It shows how often the advertiser pays for a completed commission. You can choose the minimum rating at which you are willing to accept offers. For example, if you separating at 50% you will be willing to accept offers from advertisers who have a record of paying out on 50% or more of completed commissions. If you would rather accept fewer but more reliable advertisers then you can raise the bar as high as you wish up to 100%.

2. Allow adult content. If you don’t wish to discuss adult subjects on your blog then leave this checkbox blank.

3. Category. The site offers a few broad categories to choose from so that advertisers can gain an approximate understanding of the type of blog that you offer.

4. Disclosure type. Whenever you post a review on your blog for a Payperpost.com advertiser you will need to disclose the fact that you are getting paid for the reviews you write. There are two ways to do this, “in post” disclosure and “site wide” disclosure. You must choose which type of disclosure you wish to use on your blog. If you choose site wide disclosure then you must place a disclosure notice in a prominent position on your blog. If you choose the “in post option, you will have to state in each review post that the review has been solicited.

5. Preferred link type. You can choose to accept “follow” or “no follow” links, or both. If you’re not sure what that means, you can refer to the FAQ page on the Payperpost.com website.

Once you have made your selections, click the big “next” button at the bottom of the form.

You will now be taken to the “Add Blog” page where you will be required to perform a small verification task on your blog. At the top of the form in green text you will see a randomly generated sentence. Login to your blog and create a new post which includes the randomly generated sentence. You can either simply post the randomly generated sentence on its own, or incorporate it into a longer blog post.

As soon as you have posted the sentence on your blog, return to the Add Blog page of Payperpost.com and click the green “claim blog” button. Once you have done that you can remove the post from your blog if you wish.

You will now be taken to a page that informs you that you have taken the successful steps towards getting started with Payperpost.com. You have completed the signup process and now it is simply a matter of waiting for advertisers to make you some offers. These will be e-mailed to you, or you can log into the Payperpost.com site and check your account status.

The whole paid blogging setup process can be completed in less than ten minutes and you will be all set to start earning some cash from your blog.
